When I published my first book in 2014, I felt used and sidelined by an expensive hybrid publisher that seemed more focused on invoices than my message. That painful lesson pushed me to learn independent publishing, earn my IAPO certificate, and create a kinder model. Today I blend 35 years in education with publishing skills so nervous, hard working writers keep ownership, understand every step, and finally hold a book they feel proud to share.
Fair publishing, clear information, and real care sit at the heart of everything.
Seeing authors hold contracts where sales truly belong to them fuels my quiet reform mission daily, bringing fairness back to publishing.
I love helping writers shape testimonies, lessons, and memories into books that strengthen families and faith.
Many clients arrive unsure and anxious, yet leave confident, informed, and holding a published message of hope.
My first publishing contract left me paying high fees while others controlled my work and benefited most. That experience shook me deeply and convinced me there had to be a better path. I chose independent publishing so I could protect my own voice and then show other writers how to avoid those same costly traps.
I began helping a few writers as an educator who understood deadlines, fear, and limited budgets. Over time, coaching turned into a small press, then into Legacy Publishing, a rebrand that reflects my heart to help ordinary people create lasting, faith filled legacies. Every service I offer now flows out of that calling.
